On September 1st, ES Gallery will open a group exhibition of participants of the first set of ES Studios "Architecture of the Sensual", which will feature five young artists who have been working in the creative workshops of the gallery for three months. Daria Yartseva will be the guest curator of the project.

Based on the results of the open-call, which gathered more than 50 applications, five artists were selected to become residents of the first season of the ES Studios project, a unique space created specifically for emerging and established artists. It is a place where ideas become statements, and ideas find support and development.
The goal of the project is to create an atmosphere of cultural exchange, inspiration and free expression. The residency offers artists the opportunity to immerse themselves in an environment where the exchange of ideas and opinions with other participants in the environment and collectives creates horizontal connections, a space of dialog and co-creation.

"ES gallery was created as a kind of community center for artists who are looking for themselves and are ready to share their creativity and ideas to be heard about outside Tatarstan. People who can appreciate creativity always gather around architects and designers. We have managed to create a kind of hub where we can give faith to creators, give them the opportunity to create art so that they can constantly feel motivated, because there are still so many people who don't know about their creativity yet. We all share our experiences and ES gallery gives everyone who is on the path of creation the opportunity to discover their talent".
The first report exhibition is dedicated to the artwork as a physical embodiment of a sensual object: the works presented in the project will map the sensual experiences of the studios' residents.
"It is almost impossible to describe the essence of phenomena and things belonging to the realm of the senses with absolute precision. However, artists have the ability to deeply perceive reality, sensing the tension between objects and events. The works presented in the project will form an anthology of sensual experiences of the participants of the first season of ES Studios, which the viewer can explore by setting his or her own trajectories", - says the curator of the project Daria Yartseva.
